OPPO Reno is available in three models
OPPO Reno comes in three models; the standard Reno, the Reno 10x Zoom Edition and Reno 5G.
Each variant is appealing for different reasons thanks to variations in price and features
Here is an outline of the trio:
The standard OPPO Reno is similar to its more premium brothers but makes a number of notable compromises in order to achieve its more appealing cost.
Reno comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that has the resolution of 1080×2340 and a density of 402-pixels-per-inch.
The hardware is immediately striking for its truly all-screen design that covers the majority of the phone’s front.
Minimal bezels are present around the hardware but there is no notch to be found.
OPPO Reno achieves its heroic screen-to-body ratio thanks to a pop-up selfie camera that emerges from the top of the device to reveal its front-facing snapper and the flash for its rear sensors.
Underneath its screen sits the Reno’s optical fingerprint reader that is used for unlocking.
On its rear, the Reno comes with a dual-camera system comprised of a 48-megapixel primary shooter and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
This means the product does not come with the innovative zoom camera present on its more premium brothers.
Another notable compromise from the product comes in the form of its Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor.
While not as powerful as the chip manufacturer’s Snapdragon 855 chipset, the platform used should deliver capable performance across Android 9 Pie.
Another vital component housed under the hood of the Reno is its 3,765mAh battery.
The standard Reno comes in four colours; fog sea green, extreme night black, nebula purple and pink mist.
OPPO Reno will be priced from €499 and releases on May 10.
Unfortunately, no UK cost was provided.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition
The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes with a number of notable upgrades over the standard Reno.
First and foremost, the hardware flaunts a larger 6.6-inch AMOLED display that has the resolution of 1080×2340 and packs 387-pixels-per-inch.
Just like the standard Reno, the phone provides a notch-free viewing experience for fans and has extremely small borders surrounding it.
The main attraction from the more premium Reno is by far its triple-camera system that looks set to launch a radical challenge to the Huawei P30 Pro.
That is because, as its name suggests, the OPPO device similarly touts an innovative telephoto sensor that harnesses a periscope-style structure in order to achieve a 5-times optical zoom.
Plus, the dedicated zooming hardware is capable of combining with the other sensors present on the product to deliver a 10-times hybrid zoom.
The standard OPPO Reno will release next month
All models of the OPPO Reno look very similar but vary in price and features
The zooming system offered by this Reno variant is extremely similar to the P30 Pro and Express.co.uk is excited to pit these two flagships against each other to see which is truly best.
Backing up the Reno’s powerful zooming module is a 48-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle system.
In addition to its commendable camera array, the Reno 10x Zoom Edition also packs a rapid Snapdragon 855 processor under its hood in addition to a 4,065mAh battery.
OPPO Reno comes in fog sea green and extreme night black finishes.
OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition is priced from €799 and will release in “early June”.
No UK cost for the product was announced.

OPPO Reno 5G
OPPO Reno 5G is essentially the same phone as the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition but is capable of delivering faster network speeds.
The Chinese tech giant has announced it will partner with EE for the launch of the hardware in the UK.
Commenting on the launch, Sharon Meadows, Director of Devices, Partnerships & Business Development, EE, said: “EE Customers with an OPPO Reno 5G will be able to get the most from our new super-fast, high capacity 5G network.
“Whether they are watching 4K content, trying out AR experiences or gaming with their friends, the Reno 5G will let them tap into the game-changing speeds and connectivity that 5G will bring.”
OPPO Reno 5G will cost €899 upwards when it debuts in May.
The Chinese tech giant did not reveal UK pricing for the device.
